    WIFVNE Member Ridgefield Independent Film Festival is a curated annual independent film festival that "seeks to make the world a more compassionate place through the sharing of stories through cinema." RIFF No. 9 will take place May 16 through 19 throughout Ridgefield, CT.

    Join NYWIFT for their Masterclass Series: Sports Producing with Award-Winning Television Producer Justine Gubar.

    In this series of three masterclasses, through case studies and conversations, creators will learn the process of creating and producing sports documentaries and sports content production.

    Justine Gubar is an award-winning television producer, well-respected journalist, and former executive with the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences which administers the iconic Emmy Awards, the television industry’s premier accolade. She is the author of the nonfiction narrative Fanaticus: Mischief and Madness in the Modern Sports Fan published by Rowman & Littlefield in 2016 and lauded by Publisher’s Weekly for delivering “a well-researched and shocking look at ‘extreme fanaticism’ throughout sports history…”

    The 33rd Woods Hole Film Festival will be held from Saturday, July 27 – Saturday, August 3, 2024 as both an in-person and virtual event. The virtual screenings will be available on the Festival platform from Sunday, August 4 though Sunday, August 11th.

    The Woods Hole Film Festival is an eight day showcase of independent film featuring daily screenings, workshops, panel discussions, special events, master classes, parties, awards ceremony and more. Passes on sale June 1, 2024; Individual Tickets on sale July 1, 2024.

    When it was founded in 2005, the Camden International Film Festival was one of the world’s only small town film festivals focused exclusively on documentary film.

    In 2009, CIFF took the second big step for the organization by launching the Points North Forum. What began as an afternoon of panel discussions has since grown into one of the largest gatherings of documentary filmmakers and industry professionals in the United States, with more than 50 funders, broadcasters, distributors and producers participating annually.

    The core element of the Points North Forum has been our growing investments in the development of the next generation of nonfiction storytellers.

    The 19th edition of the Camden International Film Festival will take place throughout venues in Camden, Rockport, and Rockland, Maine from September 12-15, 2024.

    Mystic Film Festival is an annual event showcasing independent feature-length and short-form narrative films and documentaries from around the world. The festival brings together a diverse group of filmmakers and audiences to explore ideas, discuss the filmmaking process, and celebrate creativity. Through engaging community events, industry panels, and film screenings by acclaimed and up-and-coming talent, they aim to make the festival a special experience for filmmakers and audiences alike.

    Now celebrating its seventh year, the festival will take place a little earlier from September 19 - 22, 2024 at venues in Mystic, Connecticut and neighboring shoreline towns. The cornerstone venue is Mystic Luxury Cinemas in Olde Mistick Village. Mystic Film Festival opens with a local premiere and close the festival with an awards event where the best film in each category is recognized. They are expanding their submission categories for 2024 including Animation films, Made in CT, Made in New England, Holiday,

    The un-produced script competition is now entering its fifth year and continues to be a big success as we continue to grow relationships with key partners in the screenwriting industry. Mystic Film Festival is excited to expand the categories for 2024 including adding Short Scripts, TV Pilot Scripts, and Stage Plays. The top winners of the screenplay competition will be announced at the festival in September 2024.
